The best design references for AI agents

Six ways to stop your agent guessing, what each actually returns, and which one fits what you're doing. We make one of them.

We make plagio, so read this with that in mind. Competitors' details were checked on 5 November 2026 from the sources listed at the end. We have not run these tools side by side.

Tools here fall into three groups, and the group matters more than the brand. Libraries show your agent what good looks like. Capture tools read one page you chose. Scrapers pull brand data as part of something bigger.

Mobbin

The largest library here by its own count: 620,000+ screens and 153,400+ flows across web and iOS. The MCP comes with Pro and Team. Start here if you don't yet know what you want.

Refero

Gives agents curated visual styles, real product screens and user flows over a remote MCP. Its docs list 8,000 MCP tool calls a month on Pro, plus a Claude Code skill that adds design methodology on top.

Awwwards MCP

An open-source server that turns a few chosen site slugs and a project goal into a cited build brief. It's inspiration rather than cloning, and it's free if you're happy to run it yourself. It's a community project, not an official Awwwards product as far as we can tell.

plagio

You name a public page and your agent gets its markup, CSS, tokens, hover states, motion and a section map, measured in a real browser. It has no library and can't help you find something to look at, and it can't see native apps or logged-in pages.

Web to MCP

A Chrome extension: hover over an element, click it, and it generates code and a prompt for Cursor or Claude Code. That makes it hands-on, where plagio is driven by the agent. Its Product Hunt launch mentioned a $5 Pro tier; we couldn't confirm the current price, so check before relying on it.

Firecrawl

A general web scraping API with a branding format that extracts logo, colors, fonts and spacing. The right choice if you already scrape at scale and brand data is one field among many. It isn't aimed at rebuilding a component, and third-party guides disagree on some of its pricing details, so go by its own page.

How to choose

  • Don't know what you want yet: Mobbin or Refero.
  • Want a brief, free, and don't mind running it yourself: Awwwards MCP.
  • Know the exact page and want your agent to do it: plagio.
  • Want to click the exact element yourself: Web to MCP.
  • Already running a scraping pipeline: Firecrawl.
