plagio vs Mobbin
Words plagio team
Both give your agent real design to work from, over MCP. One is a library of shipped products. The other reads any page you point it at.
We make plagio, so read this with that in mind. Competitors' details were checked on 5 November 2026 from the sources listed at the end. We have not run these tools side by side.
These two get compared because both solve the same complaint: agents guess at design. They solve it from opposite ends, so for a lot of people the honest answer is that they're not really choosing between them.
Mobbin is a curated library. Its own count is 620,000+ screens and 153,400+ flows across web and iOS, collected since 2018, and its MCP lets an agent search them. plagio has no library at all. You name a page, it opens that page in a real browser and returns what it measured.

Where Mobbin is better
Finding out what's good. If you don't know what a great paywall looks like, a library is the right tool. plagio can't tell you which site to look at.
Flows. Mobbin records how screens connect. plagio captures one page at a time.
Apps and logged-in screens. Native iOS apps and pages behind sign-up are exactly what Mobbin has spent years collecting. plagio can't see them.
Your team's whole research habit. Collections, sharing and a Figma plugin are built for designers. plagio is built for agents and has none of that.
Where plagio is better
A specific page. "Make it like this site" needs that site, including ones nobody has catalogued: a small studio, a competitor you launched against last week.
Getting the numbers. A screen is a picture, so an agent still has to estimate from it. plagio returns the values the browser applied, down to the letter spacing and the keyframes.
Rebuilding, not just looking. The capture comes with an HTML and CSS snapshot that renders like the original, so the agent starts from the real structure.
What plagio won't do well
WebGL scenes, video and heavily animated pages lose the most in a capture, and some sites refuse automated browsers altogether. When a page crashes the browser, the capture runs without 3D and says so. It's also a younger product with a far smaller track record.
Which one to pick
Pick Mobbin when the question is "what should this look like?". Pick plagio when the answer is already in a browser tab and you want your agent to build from it. They don't overlap much, and using both is reasonable: find it on Mobbin, then measure it if it's a public page.
Questions people ask
What's the difference between plagio and Mobbin?
Mobbin is a curated library of shipped screens and flows your agent can search. plagio has no library: you name any public page and it measures that page live in a browser.
Can I use plagio and Mobbin together?
Yes, and it's reasonable to: find a direction on Mobbin, then measure it with plagio if it's a public page.
Can plagio capture mobile apps or logged-in pages?
No, plagio reads public web pages only. Mobbin covers iOS apps and screens behind sign-up where it has captured them.
