Careers and changelog pages: the ones nobody designs, and the ones who do
Words plagio team
Two pages that usually ship as a list. Here's what hand-made sites do with them instead.
Careers and changelog pages are often left to a job board embed and a markdown list. Discover has 187 careers pages and 81 changelogs from hand-made sites; these are a few that treat them as pages worth designing.
Changelogs
Linear calls its changelog "Now" and gives each release a large image on a dark page. Raycast does the same with bigger visuals per feature. Railway's headline is "Weekly product updates since 2021", with releases as a grid of cards.
Others keep it as a dated feed and make the feed itself good: Vercel and Cal.com put dates in a column beside each entry; Attio adds an email field to subscribe above the list. PostHog runs a counter of days since a human-coded pull request, which tells you something about the team.
Careers
Linear's careers page opens with "Help us craft high-quality tools" over a full-width photo. Cal.com leads with a goal, "Work with us and connect a billion people by 2031", then the open roles. Every's leads with "Live in the Future With Us" above a large illustration.
At the other end, Cursor's careers page is a short paragraph and a long list of open roles, and BUCK lists roles by city with almost no decoration. Plain works when the type and spacing are right.
