210 home pages, scored 0 to 100 on how hand-made they look. The median is 62; a quarter use shadcn's theme; one shows a builder's trace.

What we did. We took every company in Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch that had a website we could load, 210 of them, and ran each home page through the same check anyone can run at plagio.dev. The full ranking is in the report. This is what stood out.

By the industry YC lists, fintech companies had the highest median, 71, and B2B the lowest of the large groups, 57. B2B is also half the batch, 104 companies, so it pulls the overall number down.

Only one site carried a trace of an AI builder in its code. Most of the batch builds with the same tools hand-made sites use; where they differ is in the habits: centred everything, identical card grids, small all-caps labels. Those are the patterns our study of 247 sites found twice as often on AI-built pages.

The most hand-made

Sutrix scored highest at 93, then Ageospatial and ORO AI at 90, Clean and Theseus Robotics at 89. They have little in common visually, which is the point: a large hand-drawn mark, a 3D point cloud, live product numbers, a technical illustration.
